DNP3 Slave Configuration

To configure Geo SCADA Expert as a DNP3 Slave, you need to create and configure:

  1. DNP3 Slave Channel(s) to define the communication connections between Geo SCADA Expert and the DNP3 master (see Configuring a DNP3 Channel).
  2. A DNP3 Slave Outstation Set to define each group of slave outstations that share the same communications channel (see Configuring a DNP3 Outstation Set).
  3. DNP3 Slave Outstation(s) with which a DNP3 master may communicate, in order to obtain data from Geo SCADA Expert (see Configuring a DNP3 Slave Outstation).
  4. Filtered Value maps for mapping point properties into memory so that they can be accessed by a DNP3 master (see Define the Filtered Value Map Locations, and see Configuring Value Maps in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).

If the DNP3 Slave is used for routing comms using a Virtual Terminal, you also need to Configure a VT Service Port Slave.
