Typical Scenarios

This section gives some typical scenarios in which Modbus devices could be used within a Geo SCADA Expert system. These scenarios are designed to act as a guide when configuring your own Geo SCADA Expert system to communicate with Modbus devices—they do not indicate all possible scenarios in which the Modbus protocol may be used.

Scenarios in which you would use a Modbus driver include:

• Modbus Master Communicating with one or more Modbus Devices
• Dual-Purpose Modbus Master/Modbus Slave.
