Set the SCADAPack 50 Device Clock and Configure the Device Global Parameters
Perform this procedure after you have read the introduction to the SCADAPack 50 Quick Start Tutorial.
Use the information in this topic together with the device documentation.
Follow this procedure to configure the SCADAPack 50 device Global Parameters:
- Run Kervisu. Connect to the device by clicking on the icon. The device should be in Awake mode (for more information, see the SCADAPack 50 device documentation).
- In the Kervisu Menu Bar, select the GLOBAL-PARAM option.
The Global Parameters screen is displayed.
- Set the following properties (leave the other properties at their default settings):
NOTE: As you enter each new property, the property's text will briefly turn red and then return to black when the SCADAPack 50 device accepts the new entry.
- Device Identifier—The name of the data logger device. For this test, enter
SP50
.The Device Identifier in Kervisu is called the Outstation Name in Geo SCADA Expert.
- PIN Code—Enter the PIN code of the device's modem SIM card, if required (for more information, see the SIM card documentation).
- (1) Phone Number—Enter the telephone number of the Geo SCADA Expert GSM modem. Use the required format (for more information, see the modem documentation). For example, +4479352162.
- (1) Phone Number Mode—Select Disabled to help prevent the device from sending SMS messages before you have configured the Geo SCADA Expert database items. You will change this setting later when you test the configuration.
- Current Date—Enter the current date and time in Coordinated Universal Time (see Coordinated Universal Time in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Device Identifier—The name of the data logger device. For this test, enter
