Points Used on SCADAPack Modbus Realflo Controllers
SCADAPack Modbus Realflo controllers support a combination of these point types:
- SCADAPack Modbus Realflo Analog Input Points—Use SCADAPack Modbus Realflo Analog Input Points (see Configuring Realflo Analog Input Points) to process Flow Run data on a Realflo controller.
The rate at which Geo SCADA Expert retrieves Realflo data on SCADAPack Modbus Realflo Analog Input Points is determined by the intervals specified on the configuration Form of the Flow Run with which each Realflo point is associated.
Unlike the ‘standard’ SCADAPack Modbus Analog points listed below, SCADAPack Modbus Realflo Analog Input points do not support Persistence.
To process other data on a Realflo controller, you use the appropriate ‘standard’ point type listed below:
- SCADAPack Modbus Analog Input Points—see Configuring Analog Points in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to the SCADAPack Modbus Driver
- SCADAPack Modbus Analog Output Points—see Configuring Analog Points in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to the SCADAPack Modbus Driver
- SCADAPack Modbus Digital Input Points—see Configuring Digital Points in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to the SCADAPack Modbus Driver
- SCADAPack Modbus Digital Output Points—see Configuring Digital Points in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to the SCADAPack Modbus Driver.
For information on the minimal amount of configuration that you can undertake to produce a functional Realflo point in Geo SCADA Expert, see Minimum Configuration.
Be aware that although Geo SCADA Expert assigns Realflo Analog Input point addresses automatically, you need to manually assign appropriate addresses for those SCADAPack Modbus points that represent data other than Realflo data on a Realflo controller (see SCADAPack Modbus Realflo Point Addressing).
