Geo SCADA Expert uses Pager Service database items to represent the various protocols that are required on your system. The configuration of each Pager Service item defines which protocol is to be associated with that Pager Service and also specific properties such as the maximum message size and limits for timeouts. So, while there are only four protocols, you may need to configure a greater number of Pager Service items, for example, if you have two GSM modems, you would need two SMS Pager Services and two SMS Pager Channels.
