Bulk Configuration
Associated with: WITS Outstations.
The Bulk Configuration attribute shows the version and the file size of the Field Device's bulk configuration file. There can be two different versions of the file, one in Geo SCADA Expert and one in the Field Device.
A bulk configuration file is part of the Field Device configuration which comprises:
- A bulk configuration file
- An incremental configuration file
- Application programs (if supported and used).
These files define how the Field Device operates. The bulk configuration file contains the vendor-specific configuration that the Field Device needs to meet its operational requirements. For more information, (see WITS Bulk Configuration Files, Incremental Configuration Files, and Application Program Files).
If there are two different versions of the bulk configuration file, the Status display shows the following information for this attribute:
Outstation: <version>, Master Station: <version> (<file size> bytes).
If either the Field Device or Geo SCADA Expert does not have a bulk configuration file, then its <version> will be 'None'.
If the version of the bulk configuration file is the same in both Geo SCADA Expert and the Field Device, the Status display shows the following information for this attribute:
Version: <version> (<file size> bytes).
If there is no bulk configuration file in either Geo SCADA Expert or the Field Device, the Status display shows 'None' for this attribute.
If there are different versions of the bulk configuration file in Geo SCADA Expert and in the Field Device, you may want to:
- Download the version from Geo SCADA Expert to the Field Device ((see Download Configuration (WITS Outstation)))
or
- Upload the version from the Field Device to Geo SCADA Expert ((see Upload Configuration (WITS Outstation))).
