Display the Alarm Summary for an Item or Group

There are several ways of displaying an Alarm Summary in ClearSCADA.

On a ViewX client, you can display an Alarm Summary from:

In either case, use the Display Alarm Summary menu option or pick action to display the required alarm summary. The Alarm Summary will be filtered automatically so that it only shows the Alarm Summary data for the selected item or group and its associated items. By default, the entries in the Alarm Summary will be restricted to those values that ClearSCADA has stored within the last 24 hours.

To display an Alarm Summary on a WebX client, either:

  1. Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar)..
  2. Navigate to and then select the item for which you want to display an Alarm Summary.
  3. Select the Display Alarm Summary option from More tools option.
    The Alarm Summary is displayed.

Or:

  1. Display a Mimic on which the relevant item is included (see View a Mimic on a WebX Client in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX and WebX Clients).
  2. Click on the item.
If the item is configured to display an Object menu, a context-sensitive menu is displayed.
  3. Select the Display Alarm Summary option.
    The Alarm Summary is displayed.

Or:

On a Hot-Standby system, it is possible for a ClearSCADA client to connect to a Standby server rather than the Main server. ClearSCADA allows a client to connect to a Standby server once the server has synchronized its current data with that of the Main server. This is to allow users to access ClearSCADA as soon as possible during the synchronization process. On a client that is connected to a Standby server, if an attempt is made to view an Alarm Summary while that server is still synchronizing its historic database with the Main server, the List’s background will show a series of question marks (?). Data will be displayed once the synchronization process is complete (this may take some time on systems that have a large amount of historic data).
