Field Types

You can add various types of field to a report. A summary of some of the types of field and how they are used in conjunction with ClearSCADA is given below. For more information on field types and using fields in reports, see the documentation supplied with the Crystal Reports application.

To add any static text to your reports, you need to add a Text Object. You add a Text Object by using the Insert Text Object menu option or toolbar button. If you want to add specific information to a report, such as the report title or a page number, you may want to insert a Special Field, rather than static text.

If the data that you want to include in your reports contains calculations, you may want to consider using Data Grids. Data Grids are ‘custom’ tables that you can configure within ClearSCADA. ClearSCADA can perform a variety of calculations on the data in a Data Grid and display the results of those calculations in the report.
