Configuring SCADAPack 50 Counter Points
Geo SCADA Expert represents a counter point on a SCADAPack 50 device with a Geo SCADA Expert Counter Point database item. A device counter point represents a value that accumulates over time. For example, a device counter point might monitor the number of rotations of a turbine over a 24-hour period.
You configure the properties for each Counter Point database item by using the fields on the SCADAPack 50 Counter Point Form.
The Form has a number of tabs. This section describes how you configure the properties on:
- The Counter Point tab
- The Device Point tab.
The properties on the other tabs are common to many drivers (see Tabs on Point Forms in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Advanced Drivers).
Use the Counter Point tab to:
- Configure Common Point Properties
- Configure Alarm Limits
- Configure the Override Properties (see Define Whether a Counter-Type Point can be Overridden in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the No Change Properties (see Detect whether a Counter-Type Point has Stopped Changing in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the Trend Properties (see Define a Counter-Type Point's Trend Settings in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration)
- Configure the Format Properties (see Define the Appearance of a Counter-Type Point's Values in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration).
Use the Device Point tab to Configure SCADAPack 50 Device Point Properties.
