Actions Associated with Channels on Simple Drivers
The channels on simple drivers support a combination of these actions:
- Acknowledge Alarms
- Acknowledge with Comment
- Alarm Response
- Disable Alarms
- Disable Channel
- Disable Comms Logging
- Disable Telnet
- Display Scanners
- Display Sources—(Slave Channels only)
- Enable Alarms
- Enable Channel
- Enable Comms Logging
- Enable Telnet
- Release Exclusive Control—(Systems on which Exclusive Control is enabled)
- Remove Alarms
- Remove with Comment
- Reset Serial Port Statistics
- Take Complete Exclusive Control—(Systems on which Exclusive Control is enabled)
- Take Partial Exclusive Control—(Systems on which Exclusive Control is enabled)
- Unacknowledge Alarms
- Unacknowledge with Comment.
Some simple driver channels support two lines and therefore also support the Switch Line pick action. Whenever the Switch Line pick action is supported, its functionality is summarized in the relevant driver-specific guide.
Most simple driver channels only support single connections and for such channels, any attempts to trigger the ‘Switch Line’ pick action or method in ClearSCADA will have no effect and will be ignored.
