Your Geo SCADA Expert DVD contains the components required to install Geo SCADA Expert on a server and a client. But you should only install Geo SCADA Expert on a server or client computer that meets the required specifications.

Virtual ViewX is supported by Geo SCADA Expert 2019 onwards. We strongly recommend that you install the Virtual ViewX server on a different machine to the Geo SCADA Expert server. This is to avoid potential performance issues due to the number of resources that each application uses.
If you do install Geo SCADA Expert and Virtual ViewX on the same machine, both applications must have the same version and build number. This is because the applications share some resources.
While it may be possible to install and run Geo SCADA Expert on computers and networks that do not meet our recommended specifications, this may result in an unstable Geo SCADA Expert system. Geo SCADA Expert is only designed to run on computers that meet the recommended specifications.
Even though you might run Geo SCADA Expert on computers and networks that meet, or operate within, the recommended specifications, it is possible to configure aspects such as data processing and client displays that are detrimental to performance.
