Display and Configure Properties on the Calendar Form
Do not confuse Alarm Redirection Calendars with ‘normal’ Calendars. ‘Normal’ Calendars are used alongside other ClearSCADA features, such as Schedules, to indicate functions that are to occur on specific dates in the year.
For information on ‘normal’ Calendars, see Configuring Calendars in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration.
You need to use the Calendar Form to configure the basic calendar properties and the required sets of alarm redirections. For instance, you might want to configure one set of redirection actions for when a control center is manned, and another set of redirection actions for when the control center is unmanned.
To display and configure the properties on the Calendar Form:
- Display the Database Bar (see Display an Explorer Bar).
- Right-click on the Calendar in the Database Bar.
A context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Select the Edit Properties option.
The Calendar Form is displayed. - Several of the tabs on the Form are common to many database items:
- Identification—Use to optionally define a Help View and to indicate whether the item is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details).
- Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses ClearSCADA's Geographical Location features.)
- User Methods—Use to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for the item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions).
- Configure the Properties on the Action Tab.
- Use the Calendar tab to define the time settings for the Calendar:
- Select the Local Time check box to use the Local Time zone, for instance British Summer Time (BST).
- Clear the Local Time check box to use UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).
For more information on Time Zone settings, see Time Zone Support in ClearSCADA in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Configuration.
- Use the Non-Working Time Redirections tab to define the set of alarm redirections that are to be used during any non-working times on the Calendar (see Define a Set of Alarm Redirection Actions).
- Use the Working 1 Redirections to Working 7 Redirections tabs to allocate appropriate sets of alarm redirections for the various working times on the Calendar (see Define a Set of Alarm Redirection Actions). For example, you might want to configure one set of alarm redirections for a Day Shift and another set of alarm redirections for a Night Shift.
For any sets of redirections that are not required, ensure that the Enabled check boxes on those tabs are clear (disabled).
- Save the configuration.
